WHERE IS NORWALK AND WHAT IS THE FIRELANDS, ANYWAY?

Norwalk, Ohio is about halfway between Cleveland and Toledo. Click   here   for a map.

"Firelands" is the name for the local area. Connecticut residents  burned out of their homes during the Revolutionary war were awarded lands in Ohio's Western Reserve. These, the "fire sufferers' lands", soon became known as the Firelands. The history is available through this link.
